Case Study – Case Study – Adelaide Home Doorway Divider Accordion Door
In early 2025, a customer in Mount Barker contacted us about our COMFORTflo and ACOUSTICflo acoustic accordion door systems for his property - he had a sizeable open plan kitchen and dining area that extends into a sunroom facing the backyard, and because of the size of the space, his gas heating system was clearly working hard in the winter to contain the heat in this large space. He worked with us, together with his brother-in-law, to frame the opening (across the dining area) to section off the sunroom from the kitchen, and install our doors. This gave his family the option of flexibly partitioning the area to be opened up when entertaining, or closing it off to contain heat and cool in the spaces desired, and at the same time cutting down his energy bills.
He finally settled on the ACOUSTICflo, for its soundproofing qualities, as the sunroom can then be used also as a playroom / home office if and when their grandchildren are over. He also considered between aluminium-framed glass bifold doors and our Folding Door systems, but due to the cost, difficulty of installation and less convenient daily operations of the bifold doors, he decided to proceed with Australian Folding Doors.
